Memory Lane...

I can't believe that my babies are almost 1! This month has been pretty emotional for me. Just thinking back a year ago and where I was then. A year ago right now I was in the hospital, where I'd been for over a week already. Flat bed rest, they even wanted me to eat laying down, I got sponge baths and everything. Towards the end I was able to get up and take a shower everyday-which was the highlight of my days. Last Thanksgiving I had hospital turkey(YUCK!) and I was getting depressed thinking of spending Christmas in the hospital. We'd already planned how we were going to decorate my hospital room, because for all I knew I was going to spend another couple of months in the hospital. But after almost 2 weeks in the hospital my doctor told me I was doing well, so he was going to let me go home and be on bed rest as long as I promised I would stay down. Yipee! But the morning I was supposed to go home my water broke. Not good. So I was sent downstairs to get an ultrasound to see what was going on. The perinatologist said that is was just (Gavin's) water that had broke, the other two looked fine but then as he looked closer he said it looked like there was a foot poking out! So back upstairs I went and my doctor came and checked me and said that if there was a foot poking out there wasn't one now, but that he wanted me to go down to the U so that they could monitor me more closely and try to keep the babies in a bit longer. So the ambulance came (air med was called but the weather was too bad) and off to the U I went. I still wasn't planning on having the babies yet, the doctors had told me that they could stop the labor and that Gavin's fluid could build back up, so we were going to try and hold them in at least a couple more weeks. So that was the plan. But after I got to the U when the doctor there checked me to make sure I wasn't dilating she stopped right in the middle of it and said that she'd be right back. Hmmm, not a good sign when the doctor leaves right in the middle of them checking you! Then she came back with another doctor and she said that there was a foot poking out!!! The other doctor said to get the OR ready. So I got to the U at 3:15 and had all the babies by 4. What a day. These memories are still as fresh in my mind as if it had happened yesterday, I'm sure I will never ever forget these moments.

I just wanted to post some pics of me up until I had the babies, like I said, Memory Lane...
10 weeks pregnant.

18 weeks pregnant.

I'm not sure exactly how far along I was in this one.

24 weeks. This is about 2 days before I had the babies.

The last picture of just the 3 of us.
Me and my favorite visitor.

Leaving Ogden Regional.

Off to the U I go.

This is right after I had the babies. Ummm, I didn't feel good if you can't tell. It had been a long day.
