So after we got home and recouped for a day, we headed back out to try camping yet again. Smiley here we come!
The drive there was uneventful, which was fabulous! The kids did pretty good, considering how long of drive we had. About 6 hours!
Camping was great, the weather was great and we just got to sit around and relax. Good times!
The "cage"
The babies sleeping arrangement
These deer kept coming into our camp.
Feeding time!
This time we pulled tandem and took our Ranger. Aaron's friend Dave let us borrow his flatbed trailer so we had a nice set-up. ;) We bought the Ranger because we love to go 4-wheeling and the Ranger can fit us all. The kids LOVED it. Any little bump we hit the babies would laugh and laugh. And then when we would go on a long ride they would all fall asleep so that was great!
Our nice get up.
Our trailer all set up.
And we're off!
And they're out!
Aaron, Dax and Aaron's cousin went on a couple hour ride to an old mining town, they found this old cabin and they also just happened to find one of those geocaching treasures.

We also took the kids to a salmon fish hatchery. It was pretty cool because usually you can't fish for Salmon but for a few days a year they will sell a certain amount of licenses, so there were people everywhere fishing. And the local Indians get to fish right up by the hatchery and they can use spears so we watched that for a long time. Dax was fascinated.

The Indian's catchin some salmon
This is were the salmon are caught after they jump the dam. Pretty cool.
So after a few days it was time to go home.

Well as we were heading out, we saw smoke....again! So Aaron, jumps out and checks the axle on the trailer, it seemed to be fine. So we got going again, and more smoke. Ugh! Don't you worry that this time it was the axle on the trailer the Ranger was on. (bad luck #3)The bracket that holds the axle to the trailer had broke right off. Luckily we were by the lodge so Aaron went and asked if they had a welder and they said yes, but that no one knows how to use it. It's a good thing that Aaron can do anything, so of course he knows how to weld. So he was able to fix it, wahoo! I don't know what we would have done if he wasn't able to fix everything! While Aaron was fixing that we noticed that a tire on our trailer was really low. So Aaron took it off, put some air in it and put the spare on. And off we went. Well, we made it almost home and the spare tire that we had put on completely blew up! Are you kidding me!!!! It shredded the bottom of our trailer and snapped the trailer brake lines. Good thing Aaron had put more air in the tire he had taken off, so he was able to put that one back on and then we had to drive about 20 min to get home with no trailer brakes. So guess what, no more camping for us this year!!! We've had it!
Good 'ol Smiley Creek Lodge. Saved us with their welder.
