We haven't had to use Gavin's G-Tube for about 6 months. They told us to keep it in until after RSV season in case he gets sick (HA!). It actually did come in handy at the hospital, they were able to give him fluids through that instead of having to get an IV.
But he's been eating just great orally (except that he's super picky), so I called the doctor and told them we don't use it and they told me to just take it out. So we did! (April 24th) We had to cover it with some gauze since there was just a hole in his belly, but it closed up in a couple of weeks and is doing great!
