Today Jaxon had eye surgery again to try and make his eyes straight. The poor little guy was so cross eyed, so he really needed it. The last time he had the surgery his eyes were straight for a little while but then they crossed again. So we are praying that it works this time!
He is such a trooper! He gets a little nervous right when we walk into the hospital (nothing like what Gav does though!) But all you have to do is give him a hug and a smile and he's happy as can be.
We were supposed to be there at 11:15 to get registered and the surgery was going to be at 12:45. So we were half way to the hospital when they called to tell me he was running late so to come an hour later. Ugh! I didn't want to turn around and go home just to turn around and go back up to the hospital so we went and played in Target for a while. Which may have been a bad idea. I found lots of things I "needed". Whoops! Anyways, we get there at 12:15 and get all registered and don't you worry he was still running late. So poor little Jaxon, who hadn't had anything to eat since midnight, didn't even go back for the surgery till almost 3!!! He never cried or whined once! Trooper!!!
He came out of anesthesia well. He just needed some oxygen blow by for a bit (which he always does) He was a little grumpy, his poor eyes were SO red, and his tears were bloody. So sad. But he did GREAT!
We had to put these on his arms because he kept trying to rub his eyes and that makes them so much worse. He wasn't a fan if you can tell.
