I can't believe it's been 6 months! A half of a year already! It was the hardest thing I hope any of us ever have to go through. But 6 months later, the babies are happy and healthy. I don't know why they came so early, why they had to go through everything they went through, but it's behind us now, and we just get to move forward everyday. What a blessing.
They are doing so good. They sleep so good! They usually eat between 8-9 PM and don't wake up until around 5 and then go back to sleep until 8-9. They are so nice to us!!! And they are getting chunky, smiling all the time. (That is of course until I get the camera out) But my sweet Gavin smiles ALL the time. I don't get anything done because he is always smiling, and I can't walk away from that! Jacee is smiling more and more. Jaxon, is a little harder to get to smile, but when he does he smiles so big and just starts talking to ya. It's so fun! Jaxon has also turned into Sir Cry A lot though. That part isn't the funnest, but 1 out of 3 ain't bad! ;) We got a little behind on his reflux meds because it's hard for me to get to the store to fill a prescription but we finally did, so hopefully once the meds are in his system for a while he'll feel better.
Gavin is still not doing great with his oral feeds. He'll take some of his bottle, but not really a lot, so whatever he doesn't eat I just put through the feeding tube. Usually he is just smiling too much to suck on the bottle! I have to try not to talk to him or even really look at him so that he won't smile. So he can just concentrate, but he's so cute so that's hard to do. Hopefully he'll get better so we can stop using the feeding tube and we can get rid of it!
And call us crazy but we went camping this past weekend! When I asked the pediatrician if we could go camping with the babies, he said that medically there is no reason not to, but logically he couldn't figure out why we would! :) I figured I could sit at home with the babies or sit in the trailer with them. And I really needed a change of scenery! The weather forecast was a bit scary, but it actually wasn't too bad. It was cold, but you just wore a sweatshirt outside and you were fine. It never even rained. Once it did this snow/hail thing, but not for long and that really didn't get anything wet. It was fun. We go to Current Creek, and we've gone there every year over Memorial Day for the past 7 years. It's a nice little camp area, great fishing. Our friends Dave & Crystal came with us with their two little boys, Dax has so much fun with them, they play really well together. And the babies were soooo good. We did hang out in the trailer for most of the time, but we did make it outside sometimes. We had a great time!
I'm going to put the rest of the pics on slide show again. I always have a lot!
